The Financial Planning Association (FPA) today announced the appointment of Dante De Gori as General Manager Policy and Government Relations.
FPA CEO, Jo-Anne Bloch, said she was excited to see Dante in his new role, and was certain his experience will be a valuable asset to the FPA’s management team.
“We are delighted to welcome Dante to the FPA in this critical role,” Ms Bloch said.
“Dante brings with him a wealth of technical expertise, and a deep understanding of financial planning and the FPA. He has participated in numerous FPA Committees, most recently as Chair of the FPA’s Technical Committee.
“Dante is well known to the financial planning community for his sound strategic advice, clear and plain English presentations, and his ability to address the legislative environment positively,” Ms Bloch continued.
Dante joins the FPA from Clearview Retirement Solutions, where he has been Technical Services Manager since 2007.
Dante has a Bachelor of Commerce with a double major in Finance and Marketing, and has completed a Diploma in Financial Planning. He has also nearly completed CFP® certification.
“The policy agenda for 2010 remains challenging,” Ms Bloch added. “Dante is well equipped to lead the FPA through the implementation of the PJC recommendations, along with responses to the Henry and Cooper Reviews.
“Dante will also ensure that our relationships with key stakeholders remain constructive and productive,” said Ms Bloch.
