Continuing Professional Development Programs

At the FPA, we know our members genuinely believe in their professional identity and want to continue to learn about their profession, clients, strategies and themselves. We believe it is our role to assist you to achieve that and as a consequence we have completely revamped our approach to CPD and along with our new CPD Policy want to find a wider variety of ways; more enjoyable ways and more professional ways to engage you in your Professional Development.

CPD Live & Online

These interactive sessions are presented live by leading financial experts, directly to you. You and your colleagues can participate from any location (globally) where you have broadband internet connection. You can ask questions throughout the session, share ideas and communicate directly with the presenter and even other participants. CPD Quarterly is a special education supplement in Financial Planning Magazine. It offers FPA members a further option for continuing professional development. By reading the articles and answering the questions online, members earn CPD points.

 LRS®Life Risk Specialist Accreditation Program

CFP® Certification Program CFP Practitioners hold the gold standard of professional financial planning. Demonstrate to your clients, peers and licensee that you are an ethical, educated and experienced professional.

SMSF Adviser Education Program

If you want to expand or keep your specialist SMSF knowledge up-to-date, you should consider attending this specialist FPA training program provided by Financial Review Professional Education. This is a great opportunity to reflect upon the full impact of the new rules and planning opportunities now available. The course provides formal accreditation against the new SMSF competency standards.

SMSF Adviser Education Program (Prior Learning)

This prior learning option is ideal for anyone who wants to keep their specialist SMSF knowledge and skills up-to-date on an ongoing basis. It is available only for those who have successfully completed the five SMSF competency units from the FNS04 Financial Services Training Package, within the past 2 years.

SMSF Borrowings

New SMSF warrant provisions have extended trustees funding options for property. This specialist education delivered by Financial Review Professional Education will fully explore these changes and reveal a range of new strategy opportunities for SMSF clients.

FPA National Conference Join the largest gathering of financial planners to expand your skills and earn most of your CPD points. Delegates will find the program full of leading CPD topics, discussion sessions and advanced workshops. We hope to see you in on the Gold Coast in November!

Throughout 2010 we will continue to build programs that are especially for Financial Planners and we welcome you to try out the current programs below. All of our programs are available to our Principal Members to tailor and can be run in-house.
