CFP® Certification Program

To register your interest in the CFP Certification Program , click here.

CFP certification is the only globally recognised mark of professionalism for financial planners.

Education is a fundamental and vital part of obtaining the CFP certification. For that reason the FPA is committed to ensuring that graduates of the CFP Certification Program have the skills and technical knowledge necessary to provide the highest level of strategic financial planning advice to their clients.

Candidates must successfully complete an advanced education program which aligns to the Financial Planning Standards Board (FPSB) Body of Knowledge. The Body of Knowledge identifies the knowledge that a financial planning professional must be able to draw on to deliver planning advice to clients or when interacting with colleagues in a professional capacity.

The education program consists of:

  • CFP1: Ethics, Professionalism and Professional Behaviour
  • CFP2: Applied Strategies 1
  • CFP3: Applied Strategies 2
  • CFP4: Investment Strategies

For a full guide to CFP Certification, refer to Guide to CFP Certification For full details on the entry requirements of the CFP Certification Program, refer to Becoming a CFP professional
