Important projects that rely on your support

The FPA is inviting members to help fund important campaigns and initiatives which cannot be sustained by relying on membership subscriptions and other income alone. By supporting one or more of the following ventures, you can help contribute to our profession's standing in the community and its future growth.

Value of Advice campaign

A new national marketing campaign that focuses on how professional financial advice continues to help Australians from all walks of life achieve financial security and peace of mind. A well targeted, high profile campaign will positively position financial planning as the trusted source of quality financial advice. It will add strength to members’ own business development work, by recommending consumers seek a member of the FPA.

You can donate by either credit card payment or cheque. To use your credit card, please call Member Services on 1800 337 301, or mail your cheque made payable to: Financial Planning Association, PO Box 109, Collins Street West, Melbourne VIC 8007. CFP® Mark campaign

Promoting the CFP Mark is essential if consumers are to be able to differentiate and value experienced financial planners, and seek out a CFP professional to advise them. Establishing a recognised global brand is expensive. With your help, we can reach out through an expanded presence in national, regional and local PR, advertising and grassroots campaigns.

You can donate by either credit card payment or cheque. To use your credit card, please call Member Services on 1800 337 301, or mail your cheque made payable to: Financial Planning Association, PO Box 109, Collins Street West, Melbourne VIC 8007. In both payment instances please advise that the donation is for the CFP Mark campaign.

Future2 Foundation

Future2 was established last year as the foundation of the financial planning profession, with the backing of the FPA. Its vision is to give a second chance and hope for a better future for Australians who are trapped in difficult financial and social circumstances. Through support of Future2, members can strengthen their connections with the community and support their professional standing. Contributions are tax deductable.

Future Financial Planners Council

The shortage of qualified financial planners entering the profession threatens its growth and our ability to deliver advice to the growing number of Australians who need it. The mission of the FFPC is to encourage more young people and career changers to move into financial planning. In the short term, the FFPC is:

  • analysing the demand/supply factors impacting the growth of financial planning
  • developing marketing material for use by all FPA members
  • developing FPA programs targeted at universities to attract more students and graduates to financial planning courses and a career in financial planning.

You can donate by either credit card payment or cheque. To use your credit card, please call Member Services on 1800 337 301, or mail your cheque made payable to: Financial Planning Association, PO Box 109, Collins Street West, Melbourne VIC 8007. In both payment instances please advise that the donation is for the Future Financial Planners Council.

BLOG STAR
The Future Financial Planners Council, through the FPA, has recently launched a promotion to find a student BLOG STAR who will promote financial planning as a career of choice to students and graduates. There are 100,000 students undertaking business related courses, but only a handful studying financial planning. The BLOG STAR will be flown to financial planning events around the country and will interview financial planners and students. This interaction with industry and their fellow students will form the basis of the blog and involve generating videos, pictorial and text based social media content. This is the first phase of a very exciting campaign which is one of the FPA’s most innovative initiatives to generate interest in financial planning. To view more click here
